According to the database available at the port, the traffic of the port has increased from 52.39 million to 55.13 million. This is a huge change in the volume of cargo and thus it is a great achievement for the port. In the previous year, the paradeep port has handled a total of 1064 ships. But in the current year, the paradeep port has handled a total of 1156 ships. The PPT has also taken some slew measures in which the productivity of the ships was ensured. According to the shipping cargo database of the port, the port has handled a total of 17,289 tons in the year 2014. But in the year 2015, it has got increased to 19,856 tons. This is a vast change, said the industry people and the port officials. The port has announced some changes in their infrastructure soon to make sure that they are keeping themselves ready to handle more cargos in the future.
The roads and rails in the port will suitably get altered soon to make sure that the port can handle more cargos in the near future. The port officials have told the reporters that they are getting queries from various trades and industries to make use of their ports for their business. Thus the officials have told that soon the PPT will become one of the major ports in the world and soon will turn into a hub. The changes in the roads and rails at the port are likely to be happening soon, said the officials.
