It is known from a source that Qatar Airways and a franchisee of British Airways named as Sun-Air have made a code-share agreement in between them, in order to enhance the passenger and cargo services provided by them. Sun-Air is a Danish carrier company belonging to British Airways. According to the latest news, Qatar Airways and Sun-Air are going to start their new code-share flights in between Aalborg, Billund and Aarhus belonging to Jutland, which is western part of Denmark. In addition, the new code-share deal is going to spread its flights along the other destinations of Europe like Brussels, Munich, Manchester and Oslo. The new code-share deal is going to be an advantage for Qatar Airways enhancing the passenger traffic by increasing the number of passengers travelling from Denmark and at the time, increasing the number of passengers travelling to Denmark as well. In addition, the new flights are going to enhance the travel options to Copenhagen.
The new code-share deal is going to connect Denmark with all major business destinations around the world along with some leisure destinations. The new flights are going to provide passenger and cargo services to some major destinations like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Goa, Bali, Mumbai, Bangkok, Shanghai, Dhaka, Hyderabad, Hanoi and many other destinations. The new code-share deal is going to enhance the network of both Qatar Airways and Sun-Air, allowing them to provide their services all around the world.
Akbar Al Baker was the chief executive of Qatar Airways group. He expressed his satisfaction about binding in a deal with Sun-Air. He said that the Sun-Air is following similar values like Qatar Airways, which made them aligned to make a deal with them. He said that they are expecting additional opportunities for their airways with the new code-share deal, enhancing their services to customers and at the same time maintaining a tough competition with others. He continued that Qatar Airways is expanding its network globally and the new code-share deal is going to strengthen their position around the world and they are stringent in providing an exclusive service to customers, which is free from rivals, expanding their airways network globally.
Kristian Tvergaard is the commercial director of Sun-Air. He said that they are delighted about the code-share and are happy about their ability to add Qatar Airways code on their flights. He said that with the newly added code-share deal, they are going to provide unique connections to their customers, sharing services among their three bases. The three bases of Sun-Air include Aarhus, Jutland-Billund and Aalborg. The new code deal flights are going to spread their services on these three bases, providing utmost services to customers. At the same time, these new flights are going to connect with Doha hub, which belongs to Qatar Airways. He said that they are convinced by the fact that customers are going to appreciate their new deal, expanding the global network up to Doha. He continued that they are delighted with the exclusive in-flight services provided by Qatar Airways, which is almost same compared to Sun-Air.
